North Wildwood Travel Guide
Welcome to North Wildwood, NJ!
North Wildwood is located at the north end of the Wildwoods' Five Mile Island on the southern tip of New Jersey. The island is a resort community that has adopted a Doo Wop 50s and 60s theme, boasts over 200 tourist accommodations and swells to an unbelievable size during the high season (June through August). The famous Wildwood Boardwalk runs parallel to North Wildwood city, providing ample opportunities for family entertainment. The Duke of Fluke Fishing Tournament, the Italian-American Festival and the Anglesea Blues Festival draw huge crowds of spectators and participants. More tourists flock to North Wildwood to see displays of 1979 cars and earlier in the Boardwalk Classic Car Show and the Boardwalk National Car Show in September and May respectively. Hereford Inlet Lighthouse guards the island to the north and, even though it is an operating lighthouse, visitors are encouraged to explore the grounds and absorb the history and incredible ocean views.
